01 Challenge

As one the first digital lottery apps in the U.S., Jackpocket was a new company with ambitious goals—including getting acquired by a gaming industry giant such as  DraftKings. However, like many new businesses, Jackpocket struggled with low brand recognition, limited media presence, and other strategic setbacks.

Jackpocket turned to CLYDE to notch crucial short-term brand positioning wins—while also executing a longer-term reputation management campaign to shape its image in the industry and achieve its most ambitious objectives.

02 Strategy

CLYDE acted fast to maximize as many opportunities as possible. Tapping into our team’s extensive public affairs and financial communications expertise, CLYDE seized on a timely New York State policy shift, using it as an opportunity to relaunch Jackpocket in the state and secure local and industry media hits in key strategic outlets. CLYDE also reimagined and redesigned Jackpocket’s approach to its Series C funding announcement, taking command of the company’s narrative to drive crucial national coverage in Bloomberg TV, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and Forbes.

With an eye on Jackpocket’s long-term objectives, CLYDE deployed a sustained communications strategy focused on expansion, tech-forward positioning, and appealing to younger users. We told a high-impact story that positioned Jackpocket as a responsible innovator in a highly regulated industry—and earned Jackpocket the recognition it needed to achieve even its most ambitious goal.

03 Impact
